MedX Laser Therapy
The Choice of Professionals
For over two decades, MedX has set the standard in low-level laser therapy in Canada and beyond.
MedX’s Class IIIb devices use Photobiomodulation (PBM) - a safe, non-thermal therapy that uses specific wavelengths of red and infrared light to stimulate cellular function, support tissue repair, and reduce pain and inflammation.
By interacting directly with cellular processes, PBM supports the body’s natural healing response without the need for drugs or invasive procedures.

What is Photobiomodulation (PBM)?
Photobiomodulation is a non-invasive therapy that delivers low-level light energy to targeted tissue.
This light penetrates the skin and interacts with cells—particularly the mitochondria—supporting increased cellular energy production, reduced inflammation, and accelerated repair processes.
Treatment is typically fast, painless, and requires no recovery time.
Clinical Applications
PBM is widely used across multiple areas of healthcare, supporting a range of clinical needs:
Pain Management
Supports reduction of acute and chronic pain through modulation of inflammation and tissue repairWound Healing
Promotes healing in surgical sites, chronic wounds, and tissue damageRehabilitation & Sports Medicine
Supports muscle recovery, reduces inflammation, and aids in injury managementDental & Veterinary Applications
Used across a range of specialized clinical settings to support healing and pain reduction
