LaserWorld is sponsored and run by the Swedish Laser-Medical Society
- SLMS. The organization tries to stimulate interest in laser-medicine
and in LLLT in particular, through meetings, lectures, contacts
with media, researchers and politicians. One important task of SLMS
is to collect LLLT literature. This library contains about 1500
articles. The site is a rich resource for LLLT books, laser therapy
science, LLLT-links, Laser Therapy FAQs, LLLT manufactures, laser
therapy congresses and meetings.
NAALT - North American Association

The purpose of NAALT is to be a forum for Laser Therapy users in the
North American regions. It is the intent of the association to improve
understanding of the photobiological mechanisms, basic laser physics,
treatment parameters, techniques, regulatory issues and reimbursement.
NAALT offers the opportunity to converse with scientists, clinicians,
manufacturers; attend scientific meetings; get further training; at
their annual meeting.

The World Association for Laser Therapy (WALT) was formed in May 1994
in Barcelona, Spain, when two international organizations, namely,
International Laser Therapy Association (ILTA) and International Society
for Laser Application In Medicine (ISLAM), unified to pursue the common
goals of promoting research, education and clinical application of
laser photostimulation world-wide. WALT pursues its mission of research,
education, and clinical application of laser therapy via workshops,
biennial congresses and by regular publication of the journal, Laser
Therapy. |
